Armando J. Berriz
Armando J. Berriz graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Law School in Malibu in 1994. He was immediately admitted to practice law throughout California and Federal Court in the United States District Court, Central District of California.
While at Pepperdine, Armando was one of the first students to complete the coveted Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. He has since served and received appreciation from the Los Angeles Superior Court and Ventura Superior Court for his volunteer work as a judge Pro Tem and Mediation/Mandatory Settlement Conference Officer.
Having totally focused his practice on representing the injured, Armando has successfully represented thousands of clients, recovering tens of millions of dollars in the aggregate for them in a wide variety of personal injury and fatality cases. Over the course of decades and success that speaks for itself, Armando’s greatest source of professional pride comes from the relief of stress his clients feel having retained him, knowing their legal future is in the best hands.
A seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Berriz is a member of the most respected association of trial attorneys, The American Board of Trial Advocates, California Coast Chapter. He is also member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
Armando and his wife, Catherine, lead the firm together. Catherine was Armando’s supervisor at his first legal job. Both are California natives, though Armando became bilingual in Spanish growing up in a Cuban household, run largely by his maternal grandmother. Armando has surfed all over the world, paddles in international competitions, stand-up paddles, dives, and is a boating enthusiast.
