Austin L. Alfonso

Austin L. Alfonso graduated from the University of California at San Diego in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He played collegiate golf at UCSD all four years and earned various accolades as an NCAA athlete. In 2014, he graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. While in law school, he served as the Associate Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review and was the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Austin also worked as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Valerie Baker Fairbank, Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. After graduation, Austin passed the bar exam on his first attempt and has since been admitted to practice law in California state court as well as Federal Court in the Central District of California.

Prior to joining Alfonso and Berriz, APC, Austin worked for a well-known defense firm in Los Angeles defending some of the nation’s largest insurance companies. His inside knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate claims and the tactics they use to defend their insureds has proven invaluable in representing injured clients and obtaining top dollar for their claims.

Austin has lived in southern California his whole life and currently resides in Westlake Village with his wife Jamie, a school teacher.
